Cord of Three Strands Ceremony
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12
The Cord of Three Strands is a beautiful addition to a wedding ceremony, and can serve as a substitute for the unity candle, in particular in outdoor weddings where candles may be difficult. During the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom braid the Cord of Three Strands together. The groom holds the three strands and the bride then braids the strands together, symbolizing the union of God, husband and wife.
All our signs are homemade and handmade, meaning there will be perfectly imperfect differences from wood piece to wood piece. Knots, imperfections in the wood and the slight variations of stain absorption are what gives homemade wooden signs their beauty and individuality.
